About the team
Firebirds 16U - Meyer are an established A-level team based in Northern Virginia. Our roster consists of highly motivated student/athletes who have the desire to compete at the collegiate level. We will be playing 18U open tournaments and college showcase events with the goal of qualifying for a national tournament next summer. We are looking to add power and speed to our roster during 2018-2019 tryouts. All positions will be considered. Coach Meyer has over 15 years of softball coaching experience at the house, travel and high school levels. Assistant coaches also have extensive travel and high school coaching experiences. Current players attend and play for Edison, Hayfield, Lake Braddock, Madison, Oakton, Robinson, South Country, West Springfield and Woodson. Resources and guidance available to assist players interested in playing softball in college.
