Firebirds 16U-Hardy-Kelley

The Firebirds 16U-Hardy-Kelley softball team consists of 2005 and 2006 birth year players and is coached by two previous college softball players. We play at the highest level possible, entering A level and Open tournaments and college showcases. Our team is focused on developing players to play the game at an elite level while maintaining high academic standards. Our goal is to give each of our players the opportunity to play at the collegiate level, if they so choose, by partnering with online college networking services and instilling the value of hard work and determination.

The team is coached by Muriel Kelley and Megan Hardy.

Coach Hardy was the head varsity coach at Potomac Falls High School for two seasons. Growing up in Pennsylvania, she played first base, third base, and catcher. She played Division III softball at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA, where she still holds the single season home run record.

Coach Muriel Kelley served as the varsity head coach at Falls Church High School for three seasons before joining the Firebirds. She pitched and played first base and outfield at Division II Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, where she was named an NFCA DII All-Great Lakes Region player and holds the season record for most doubles. As a senior at Nashville's Father Ryan High School, she was a Division II state champion and was named First Team All-State.
