16U Tryouts

16U Ferreira Firebirds tryouts are closed for the 2024-25 season. Please contact Coach Ferreira dodgerut@verizon.net or Coach Pollack Dave.pollack@gmail.com for individual workout opportunities.

Firebirds 16U Ferreira consists of players with a 2008/2009 or earlier birth year. Our primary goal is to prepare players who demonstrate a passion for the game and are driven to learn, work hard, and be good teammates to continue their growth. The coaches are committed to helping each girl achieve their goals while encouraging maximum effort and playing to the best of their abilities. Coaches will constantly be reinforcing the importance of team dynamics. We will compete as a team while always respecting the core fundamentals of sportsmanship, competitive spirit, and teamwork.

WIN OR LOSE, we always play with respect for the game, our coaches, our umpires, our competitors, and ourselves. We will have fun, learn and support one another through it all.

2024-25 Schedule

Fall

Plan to play 5-6 Tournaments September - October 2024

Loudoun Doubleheaders/Scrimmages

Once Field permits are granted in August, we will provide practice nights/locations/times

Winter

Transition to Indoor Facilities (Pioneer) in December - early Febuary, focused on skills development and conditioning (speed/strength/agility) with a certified trainer. Timelines support transition to high school softball programs.
