Firebirds Clinics Help Prepare NVGSA House Players for the Season: Join Us Sunday

The Northern Virginia Girls Softball Association, the parent organization of the Firebirds, is one of the largest girls softball program in the area, with tons of amazing players. And new and upcoming clinic offerings from Firebirds coaches and athletes are helping prepare NVGSA players for an even better experience.

This winter, Firebirds coaches and players provided instruction in hitting, throwing, and fielding in the multi-weekend Advanced Skills Winter Camp and at a two-hour free clinic last weekend.

And there's still more to come. On Sunday, March 24, from 10 am to 1 pm, NVGSA players ages 12 and under are invited to come out to Wakefield Forest Elementary School (4011 Iva Lane, Fairfax 22032) for free batting and fielding practice, led by Firebirds coaches. Coaches will run drills, evaluate players' swings, and provide tips for improvement. The practice is free, and no registration is required. In addition, two Firebirds teams will be in action as a part of a full day of 12U travel softball at Wakefield Forest (games are scheduled from 8:30 to 5). It's a great opportunity to watch some very good softball, and for NVGSA players to see the Firebirds who helped at their clinics in action.
